Quality time

The term ‘quality time’ was almost dormant in previous centuries. We used to live in a joint family and spend a lot of time with our parents and grand parents. But now since the joint families have been broken into nuclear ones with time, people have least time in this busy world. Now most parents are working. We have seen our fathers were working, so this is something we are habituated with. But for a mother, there is always a dilemma whether to choose family or career. Some mothers feel guilty that they can not spend adequate time with their kids. Here comes of the concept of quality time. Parents feel that even though they can not hang around their kids every time, they can easily spend some quality time with them so that their kids would not feel neglected.

Now the question is what is quality time? A quality time may be defined as a small span of time in which the people concerned get emotionally and mentally boosted. Now arises a question when can you spent quality time with your family?

Cooking time: Cooking time is the probable best time to spend some quality time with your husband. Share cooking time with him when you both come back from your office in night. When you will cook, let him wash dishes or chop vegetables. This will allow you to some get some cozy moments with your hubby.

Meal time: Break fast and dinner time can be great family re-union time. Busy parents hardly have any time for lunch together. But they certainly have time to take their breakfast and dinner together.

Holidays: Plan holidays in a regular interval. You can make weekend holiday plans once in a month.
