Your bossy kid!!

What do you want, a bossy self-righteous kid or a child with self-esteem and a good sense of self?

From an early nascent age, we praise our kids for their every tiny achievement. Some kids take the praise with a right attitude while for some the theory completely backfires. But the children are not solely responsible. We ask the parents to praise the children on their every action, as this boosts self-confidence in them. But some parents take this wrongly.

Some parents only value their children without considering their misbehaviours. Praising is good to develop of a healthy sense of self in your child. But praising without direction, feedback and consequences, lead a child into self- righteousness while if the parents value their children with the right cause, their children are tend to be grow with self-esteem.

Children should always be valued and facilitated. But when it comes to misbehaviours, some parents keep their eyes close. This attitude arouses a sense of self-righteousness in their children. These children think that they cannot make any mistake. Then consider themselves as the most important persons on the earth. They build an attitude towards themselves that they are the supreme creature in this world. Kids with this attitude are more likely to grow bossy, living in his own world, telling other people what to do and what not.

Self-esteem builds a sense of self while self-righteousness is only a misconception. Self-esteem is relational while self-righteousness is anarchy. Self-esteem makes one social while self-righteousness makes him egocentric. Children with self-esteem know their powers and limitations, while self-righteous children reckon that the world revolves around them only. And when this misconception fades away, they hardly can bounce back in the real-world-picture.
